According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2010 list, pizza is among the top 10 sources of calories in the U.S. diet. The federal dietary guidelines recommend we get our calories from vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and low-fat milk and milk products. Very few people follow the guidelines and instead our main source of calories comes from refined grains, sugar, and fat.
